University School of Law and Legal Studies, GGSIPU is organizing an international conference on Environmental problems in South Asia from 30th January to 2nd February, 2015.

Because of social, economic and political conflicts, human beings seem to be in an unabated war with their own existence. South Asian countries too are facing all these environmental challenges like any other part of the world. Additionally, they have been a recipient of some of the worst forms of catastrophic eco-aggressions in the form of tsunamis, floods, landslides, drought, famine, cloud bursts, earthquakes, etc.

The objective of the conference is to develop cogent thinking and understanding of environmental issues amongst the students and younger generations of South Asia for a sustained and harmonic future existence with fellow feeling and empathy.

USLLS invites the participation of the students and research scholars from various universities in South Asian countries with research papers addressing pressing environmental issues related to the creation and protection of a safe environment in South Asia.
