Teaching Experience
Dr Deeksha Katyal is an Erasmus Mundus Academic fellow with expertise in Water quality index mapping, Environmental Statistics, Environmental modelling and Analytical Instrumentation. She holds a Master's degree in Analytical Instrumentation and Doctoral in Environmental engineering and Applied Chemistry from Delhi College of Engineering. Recipient of many awards like 'Service excellence' from Rotary Club of Capital City, New Delhi and 'Outstanding Women in Science' from Venus Women international, she also has numerous publications and 5 books to her credit. Currently, she is guiding 3 doctoral students. Her core research areas are Water quality analysis and monitoring, Quality interpretation and prediction using statistics and modelling, Water quality risk and vulnerability assessment, Nanoparticles fate and sorption studies, Synthesis of green materials (including membranes) and Radioactivity removal efficiency from water using nanotubes. She is also an expert member in various committees of EdCIL, BIS and CPCB. She has been in teaching for more than 13 years now and also has research experience of 2 years as a Scientist at Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (I.H.B.T) , CSIR and FICCI.
