Her areas of specialization are applications of Remote Sensing Technology in Environmental Management, Disaster Management, and Environmental Biotechnology. She has worked as Principal/Co-Principal Investigator of various international/national projects related to Environment Management. She has visited USA, UK and Japan in connection with study exchange programmes and conferences. She was also involved in Environmental Management Plan of Delhi using Remote Sensing Technology and GIS.

Dr. Anubha Kaushik obtained her Masters and Ph.D. degree in Botany from K.U. Kurukshetra. She did pioneering work on phytosociology, biomass , nutrient dynamics and carbon allocation patterns in grassland ecosystems of sodic soils, in collaboration with Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana for her doctoral thesis. She has 08 Gold Medals to her credit in Academics and was awarded Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Fellowship Award and Gold Medal, Nehru Memorial Foundation Prize.. She has more than 29 years of P.G.teaching experience at different universities ( G.J. Univ. of Science & Technology, Hisar, K.U. Kurukshetra, M.D.University, Rohtak) since 1984, and is Professor for the last 11 years. She has been Dean and founder Chairperson of Env. Sc. & Engg. Deptt. at GJUS&T and KUK. She has been Visiting Fellow in the Department of Biosystems Engineering, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada and Academic Guest to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA),Boulder,Colorado,USA. She has published more than 100 research papers ( International 73 ; National 39 ), 07 Technical Reports, about 25 scientific articles and book chapters, edited 05 Conference Proceedings and co-authored 05 Books., besides more than 40 abstracts in conference proceedings. She is/ has been Member Editorial Boards of 06 journals and is in reviewer's panel of about 20 international journals. She was awarded DST Young Scientist Research Project and 07 Major projects funded by the UGC,CSIR, DOE, Haryana and has undertaken Consultancy work for the State Govt., Haryana and several industries. She has produced 15 Ph.Ds , supervised more than 80 P.G. research Projects and 03 M.Phils. Dr Deeksha Katyal is an Erasmus Mundus Academic fellow with expertise in Water quality index mapping, Environmental Statistics, Environmental modelling and Analytical Instrumentation. She holds a Master's degree in Analytical Instrumentation and Doctoral in Environmental engineering and Applied Chemistry from Delhi College of Engineering. Recipient of many awards like 'Service excellence' from Rotary Club of Capital City, New Delhi and 'Outstanding Women in Science' from Venus Women international, she also has numerous publications and 5 books to her credit. Currently, she is guiding 3 doctoral students. Her core research areas are Water quality analysis and monitoring, Quality interpretation and prediction using statistics and modelling, Water quality risk and vulnerability assessment, Nanoparticles fate and sorption studies, Synthesis of green materials (including membranes) and Radioactivity removal efficiency from water using nanotubes. She is also an expert member in various committees of EdCIL, BIS and CPCB. She has been in teaching for more than 13 years now and also has research experience of 2 years as a Scientist at Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (I.H.B.T) , CSIR and FICCI.

Dr. N.C. Gupta joined the GGS IP University in July 1999. He is Post-graduate in Physics. He obtained his M. Phil. and Ph. D in Energy and Environment Systems from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He is the founder member of University School of Environment Management (USEM) and served as Associate Professor, Reader with the School prior to his current position. He was post-doctoral fellow (Project Scientist) with The Energy and Biomass Conversion Laboratory of the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT-Delhi and researcher with the Radio and Atmospheric Science Division of National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Delhi. He has more than 22 years of research experience out of which 15 years of teaching experience to M. Sc. Environment Management, B. Tech., M. Tech. (Chemical Technology) and MBA (Disaster Management). He was instrumental in setting up of major laboratories in the University School of Environment Management. He has instructed vide variety of courses which includes Energy, Environment and Technology, EIA, Air pollution, Climate Change and disaster management and risk analysis. He has supervised several Doctoral Thesis and more than 70 dissertations including M. Sc., B. Tech., M. Tech. in the area of energy, environmental pollution, EIA, climate change, environment management and disaster management. He has carried out several consultancy assignments for NTPC, IPGCL Power plants, Larsen & Toubro, NMBA and major project of UGC. He is training and placement in-charge of the School since 2002. He has delivered several talks in thermal power industry on environment protection and pollution control. He is editorial board member of international peer reviewed journals and is reviewer of several international journals. He has published more than 50 research papers in international and national journals. Prof. Gupta is member of several academic associations/societies. Prof. Prodyut Bhattacharya is Former Dean of University School of Environment Management at GGS Indraprastha University, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, New Delhi. He is Professor in the area of Natural Resource Management (NRM).Basic job responsibility is teaching, research, Extension, consulting and academic administration. He has 25 years of experience in research, training and teaching for post graduate and PhD level. A fellow of Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) of the University of California, Berkley, USA and Visiting Scientist fellowship (JSPS) under University of Tsukuba, Japan. Received advance training on community forestry and microfinance & Livelihood from RECOFTC, Kassetsart University, Bangkok; University of Naropa, Colorado, USA respectively. He had worked with the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, under MoEF, Govt. of India, as Associate and Assistant Professor since 1994. He was the founder Coordinator and Head to set up the International Centre for Community Forestry (ICCF) at IIFM, Bhopal. He has published over 125 research papers in international and national journals including articles, technical reports, book chapters, conference papers and co-authored seven books. He has completed 10 International sponsored research projects ( of ITTO, IIED, DFID, IUCN, JICA, IDRC etc), & 14 other nationally sponsored research projects ( DST, MoEF&CC, MoTA, State FD) from multilateral/bilateral donors Government and Corporate bodies. Guided 13 Ph.D. scholars, some are pursuing and supervisor of 26 M.Phil theses, and 76 master level dissertations. Dr Varun Joshi is a Professor (Environmental Geology), and is presently Dean University School of Environment Management, GGS Indraprastha University, Dwarka, New Delhi. He did his M.Sc. and PhD in Geology from HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarakhand (a Central University). Cumulatively, he has more than 32 years of research and teaching experience. He joined GGSIP University in the year 2010. Prior to joining GGSIPU he has worked in GB Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development (An autonomous institute of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India) for about nineteen years. Prof. Joshi has extensively worked on various environmental issues, and natural hazards of western and north-eastern Himalayas.
Prof. Joshi is a highly accomplished environmental geologist and has worked on various aspect of geological environmen, Watershed Management, Climate Change with special reference to the Himalayan region, Cryosphere, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Natural Disaster Management etc. Prof. Joshi has also been a member of High Level committee on 'Past Flood and Landslides in the Upper Alaknanda valley' (Ministry of Agriculture (GoI), Member of Task team for ‘Snow and Glaciers’ (MoEFCC ,GoI), and member of the team of Experts for ‘Uttarakashi Landslide’ (DST-GoI).
Dr Joshi has attended various International and National training programs on environmental aspects of Himalaya. He has also participated as an expert member of the team of Mountain Risk Engineering (MRE) study tour to China (MoEFCC)-ICIMOD, Nepal). Prof. Joshi has also visited many countries to hone his professional skills, and also as an expert member.
Prof. Joshi has successfully carried out many externally funded international and national research projects on different environmental issues specifically for the Himalayan region. He is member/expert of Board of Studies and Scientific committees of various universities/institutions besides being a member of several professional societies. Besides contributing as a researcher par excellence, he is also providing his services as Program Coordinator NSS/NCC of the University. Prof. Joshi’s has published more than one hundred sixty scientific papers in international and national journals of repute. In addition, he has also published four edited books. Several students completed their Ph D under his supervision and also supervised M Sc (EM and NRM) and MBS (DM) students for their dissertation thesis. Currently 8 students are pursuing Ph D under his supervision.
