  Prof. N. C. Gupta is Director Research and Consultancy. He is former Dean and working as Professor with the University School of Environment Management. He obtained his M. Phil. and Ph. D in Energy and Environment Systems from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He is one of the founder members of University School of Environment Management (USEM), Centre for Disaster Management Studies. He was post-doctoral fellow (Project Scientist) with the Energy and Biomass Conversion Laboratory of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and researcher with the Radio and Atmospheric Science Division of National Physical Laboratory, Delhi. He has more than 28 years of research experience out of which 22 years of teaching experience to M. Sc. (EM), M. Sc. (NRM), B. Tech., M. Tech. (Chemical Technology), MBA (Disaster Management) and Ph. D courses. He was instrumental in setting up of major laboratories in the University School of Environment Management. He has instructed vide variety of courses which includes Energy, Environment and Technology, EIA, Air pollution and Health, Climate Change, Carbon Management, Disaster Management and Risk Analysis. He has supervised over a dozen Doctoral Thesis and more than 150 dissertations including M. Sc., B. Tech., M. Tech., MBA in the area of Energy, Environmental Pollution, EIA, climate change, Environmental health and Disaster management. He has carried out consultancy assignments for NTPC, IPGCL Power plants, Larsen & Toubro, National Mission on Bamboo application (NMBA-DST) and Major Research Projects of UGC. He was training and placement in-charge & Coordinator of the School over a decade. He has delivered several lectures and chaired sessions on Energy, Air Pollution, Climate Change, Environment protection and on pollution control throughout India and abroad. He has published more than hundred research papers in International Journals and National Journals of repute.

 

He is member of various DST committees on International Multilateral Relations committee, MoEFCC committee, member of Executive Council and Board of Studies of several state and central universities. He is editorial board member of international peer reviewed journals and is reviewer for several high impact reputed international journals.
