The board of Management has approved to establish the University School of Film making in its 77th meeting vide agenda no. BM 77.08 on 14th June 2022

Inauguration & Vision: The School of Film Making was inaugurated on September 24, 2025, at the East Delhi campus, with industry professionals, including filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, in attendance.

Academic Offerings: The school is set to launch specialized degree courses, followed by short-term certificate programs to facilitate entry into the film industry.

Industry Collaboration: GGSIPU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Moonlight Films & Theatre Society to blend academic learning with practical experience, workshops, and internships.

A new chapter of creativity and collaboration begins as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Moonlight Films & Theatre Society to strengthen the bond between academics and the world of theatre, film and performing arts.

This partnership brings the essence of a 'Film School' to GGSIPU campus by blending workshops, festivals and creative collaborations with real industry exposure, internships and hands-on projects in film & theatre by equipping students with the skills and imagination to script their own success.
