Dr. Trehan holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication with her doctoral research in the area of advertising. She has been engaged in teaching and research for over 14 years now. She has been invited as a panelist, invited speaker in various forums on media literacy, BREXIT, advertising executions etc. She has conducted several workshops for leading organizations like GAIL, Polycon and at many premiere university departments on Advertising, PR, Integrated Marketing Communications and Communication Research Methods in India. Her Ph.D. scholars are working in areas of Defence PR; Media Literacy.
She has chaired sessions at International Conferences (IAMCR 2016, UK & IAMCR, 2017, Colombia) in Media and Sports and Media and Education section. Her research papers, review articles and book reviews have been published in reputed International blind peer reviewed communication, media and marketing journals. She has presented several research papers in conferences held in Canada, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
She has been a visiting faculty to Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) for Theories in mass communication, Integrated Marketing Communication and media advocacy in PG (Eng. Journalism), PG (Ad &PR), Diploma in Development Journalism programmes. She has been invited to deliver special lectures to NDRF officers and Officers from Assam Defense Public Relations at IIMC.
Besides academics, she is also associated with creative expressions societies of the students at GGSIPU. She has been the faculty coordinator of Aveksha (The dramatics society of USS) for 4 years now. Earlier she was the faculty coordinator of Vyakt (The Publications Club) for two years. She has also anchored / convened Faculty Development Programmes.

Teaching ExperienceDr. Sachin Bharti, an awardee of National Scholarship from Ministry of Culture, Government of India and a Ph.D holder, has done his M.A in Mass Communication from the prestigious AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia University. He has worked with National Institute of Fashion Technology, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, New Delhi as Assistant Professor.
Dr. Bharti has presented research papers in various national and international seminars along with the publication of research papers in various national and international research journals. He has delivered special lectures in various institutes and Universities across the nation.
He has coordinated two National Seminars as Convener, both sponsored by ICSSR, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Also, he convened a 10-day Research Methodology workshop, sponsored by ICSSR, Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Dr. Bharti has done a Minor Project, sponsored by UGC and a Major Project, sponsored by ICSSR, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. He has also been associated with the Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi for creating concise dictionary on Mass Communication terminology. Still Photography and Film-Making are his interest areas.

During his occupation as correspondent for news papers, he covered tribal/rural issues, Naxalism , Environment, Development and Culture. He has presented his research works on several National and International academic seminars and conferences. From time to time he is also engaged by UNICEF to train journalists working in rural/tribal areas of the country, health workers and tribal adolescent in Child Rights. He has been teaching Print Journalism and Corporate Communication and supervising research works on Fake News, Influence of New Media on Families, Community Radio and Developing Media literacy models for visually impaired.

Teaching ExperienceDr. Sweta Singh is Assistant Professor and Course-Coordinator at the University School of Mass Communication, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. She has more than twenty years of academic and industry experience. She has been a television journalist with Doordarshan News, New Delhi and has also worked with digital news ventures. Her Ph.D. thesis explores coverage of Arab Spring by news television in India. She has presented her papers in international conferences organized by IAMCR, ICA and AMIC in India and abroad. She has published research papers and book chapters in the areas of Journalism. She recently contributed to the Network of Women and Media in India report titled ‘Panels or Manels? Desperately seeking women in Indian TV news debates’. She is currently contributing for the GMMP Project, a global study that monitors the representation of women in media. Her areas of interest include New Media, Development Journalism and International Communication. She has attended sessions on fake news by Google News Initiative and DataLeads. She has been a recipient of international and national research grants. She studied Radio and Television Journalism at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.

Vinay Shanker is an alumnus of AJK Mass Communication Research Centre at Jamia Millia Islamia. He has been teaching TV Production, Film Studies and Photography for more than 17 years. Before joining USMC in 2008, he taught at Indraprastha College for Women in University of Delhi and MBICEM, GGSIPU.
