Teaching Experience
Working as Associate Professor at Universitys' School of Education GGSIP University, Dr Shalini Yadava has been a teacher educator for 14 years. She started her teaching career as a Biology Teacher at DPS( Delhi Public School ) R.K Puram in the year 1998, Her journey as a teacher educator started at DPS Institute of Higher Education , a B.Ed college of Delhi Public School Society , affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University , R.K Puram, Delhi in the year 2000 . After a stint of six years as Lecturer and officiating for one academic session as the head of this institute she joined as Assistant Education Officer (A.E.O) at the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E),Delhi.She worked in this organization in two capacities i.e AEO (Regional Office,Delhi) and AEO(Vocational Education and Edusat).This experience provided her an opportunity to work in diverse academic and administrative environments . Her passion for teaching and longing for research made her quit this post after serving this organization for an year(2006-2007). She then joined as a head of a college at Gurgaon offering the B.Ed and M.Ed programme for six months. Before joining the present post she was teaching B.El. Ed students at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College , University of Delhi . She has been an all rounder throughout her academic career and has organized and participated in diverse literary and cultural activities. She has been awarded the Salamat – Ullah gold medal for standing first in the B.Ed examination of the Jamia Millia Islamia University . She has also been awarded the Gold medal at the M.Ed Programme of Central Institute of Education, University of Delhi . She was also awarded the J.R.F by UGC. She has authored two textbooks of Biology and published a number of articles/ concept papers/research papers and chapters in magazines ,journals and Books respectively.
