The University is sensitive to the need of differently abled and promotes inclusiveness. Several steps as outlined below have been taken to assist divyangjan.
All the buildings in the University are accessible at ground floor with the provision of ramps with steel railings. All upper floors are accessible by the provision of lifts in all the buildings. A total 24 lifts are operational in the campus. The lifts are equipped with the floor announcement system and has Braille inscribed buttons. These are regularly maintained through an Annual Maintenance Contract. All the buildings in academic area as well as administrative area have been provided with separate toilets for differently abled persons at every floor. These are fully functional and equipped with all required accessories. Each floor has distinct colour code of doors and corridor tiles as an additional provision to help the differently abled persons. The campus has adequate characteristics for a fully compliant disabled friendly campus such as signage, tactile path, lights, display boards and signposts as well as assistive technology and facilities for persons with disabilities (Divyangjan) such as screen reading software, mechanized equipment. The reserved parking has been provided in the parking lots for C, D and E Academic blocks for disabled people to make them comfortable in accessing the lifts.
