NGT Seminar

  
National Green Tribunal organized a seminar on 'Natural disasters , Environment and role of NGT with special reference to Uttarakhand, J&K, Assam and Himachal Pradesh at Plenary hall , Vigyan Bhawan on 18th October 2014 on the auspicious occasion of its 4th Foundation Day. Around 80 students of University School of Law and Legal Studies got a chance to attend the seminar.

The venue was moderated by the supportive and creative team of NGT who enjoyed the support of enthusiastic and concerned people. The seminar was divided into two slots, out of which the first one started at 10:40 am. Honorable Mr. Justice Ranjan Gogoi was the Chief Guest of the event and Mr. Prakash Javadekar presided over the function. Both the honorable chief guests added prestige to the event through their presence. There was a break after the first half in which the students were provided with refreshments. The second event started at 1:10 pm and was presided by Justice Sudhanshu Jyoti Mukhopadhaya and Mr. Piyush Goyal. The honorable chief guest supported the cause and shared their point of views with the young minds present there.

The seminar was intended to fulfill the purpose of spreading awareness on some important issues among general public and celebrating and honoring the organization and people related to it and motivating them to keep working hard towards their noble intentions. These kinds of events are not just noble intentions but are actually the need of the hour.
