11th Annual Sports Meet

  
‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’ and unhealthy too. So to carry the legacy of sports and fitness forward, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is once again ready to unveil its 11th Annual Sports Meet- 2014 to be held from 13th to 15th November 2014 in the college premises.

Any college can participate in the sports meet. Sports meet would witness various events like: Race which includes 100m, 200m, 400m, 4*400m, 4*100m, 800m, 1500m, 5km and 10km (men),Shot put, Discus throw (men & women), Long jump and triple jump (men & women), Tug of war (men & women), Power lifting and body building (men), Chess (men & women)

It is important to know that we are done with the semi-finals of certain events and now only the finals of these are left. Final matches of:

• Volleyball is to be played between USS and NIEC
• Basketball girls between USS and BPIT
• Basketball boys between USS and Amity
• Football boys between USS and VIPS
• Football girls between USS and Vastukala

Keen participants are hereby informed that the last date for registering is 11.11.14 till 5.00pm. All are requested to bring their I-cards and respective sports kit. For further details about the sports meet one can refer to the website- ipu.ac.in
