National Education Day Celebration

  
GGSIPU celebrated "National Education Day" in the campus on 11th November 2014. The University School of Education organized a panel discussion on the theme- ‘Eradication of Child Labour through Education: Challenges and Prospects’.

The discussion took place in the Seminar Hall, C block Auditorium of GGSIPU, Dwarka. Eminent speakers were invited to throw light on the theme.

The seminar started at 11 in the morning, followed by a lunch break in between and it was resumed when the guests present had had their refreshments.

"The theme of the discussion is something we all feel very strongly for. Children should be educated, they should be sent to the government schools. People should work towards eradicating child labour", said a USIT student who attended the discussion.

Many arguments were raised in favor of the theme and the challenges, and the possible prospects were also discussed. Students and Teachers present there also raised their opinions on how child labour could be eradicated through educating the children. Almost 100 students from all the schools of the University participated in the discussion.
