As a part of the endeavour of our university to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and discussions among the faculty, staff and students of this university, the former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K.K. Aggarwal initiated a colloquium lecture on every working Wednesday of the academic session. This has been a regular event in the University Seminar Hall since the year of inception of the university. These colloquia have provided our university community a wonderful forum for interaction with highly accomplished individuals and eminent personalities from all walks of life. After completion of five years of this university and the Colloquium, it was decided to rename it as “Indraprastha Colloquium” to reflect the strong commitment of our university to take this interdisciplinary intellectual platform to even greater heights of excellence. The university also seeks to open these lectures to the general public and the media to enable wider social awareness and interactions, thereby forging stronger ties between the activities of the university and informed citizens and general public of Delhi.
