CAPACITY BUILDING IN ROBOTICS & AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS IN INDIA/ IRAS-HUB
The project IRAS-HUB aims to establish three RAS HUBs in Robotics and Autonomous Systems to address the lack of skilled talent in robotics technology design in India. IRAS-HUB is funded by European Education and Culture Executive Agency for three years (2023-2025) with 800,000 euros and involves ten partners from 5 different countries, including Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University as one of the four Indian HEIs alongside IIIT Delhi, IIIT Hyderabad & IIIT Allahabad.
IRAS GGSIPU aims to help boost education in robotics, architecture, planning and product design. The institute will play a pivotal role in developing robotics technology, training professionals and modernizing existing courses.

Course Modernization
GGSIPU will modernize existing UG & PG course to incorporate more robotics related content in the fields of architecture and industrial design.
Training Program
GGSIPU will also provide training program for working professionals in robotics aiming to enhance their skill and knowledge.
Collaboration Platform
GGSIPU will be part of a collaboration platform that facilitates communication and cooperation among the three RAS hubs.
Advanced Robotics Lab
The institute has an Advanced Robotics Lab which houses state-of-the-art infrastructure for robotics research and development including humanoid robots and other robotics equipment.
Internationalization and Modernization
The IRAS-HUB project aims to connect Indian HEIs with global initiatives in robotics education, contributing to the modernization of Indian institutions.
